Hong Kong, China, June 26, 2018 /Xinwengao.com/ - A total of 40 global companies participated in a June 2018 visit to six supplier sites in China – enhancing understanding, strengthening relationships

As part of an ongoing strategy to deepen and maintain an understanding of its customers, global electronics distributor Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH (Rutronik) led a tour of a number of its key supplier sites in China, in June 2018.

Explains Rutronik’s Director of Global Marketing, Gerhard Weinhardt, “The tour afforded our customers a unique insight into the design, production and operational practices at some of our important suppliers, as well as a better understanding of Asian and Chinese culture.”

Facilitated by a ten-strong Rutronik team from across the globe, Weinhardt led the tour in a visit to facilities at Yageo Corporation, CK, Vishay Intertechnology, Chilisin Electronics, DLC Display and RECOM Power, covering technologies across the spectrum of passive components, capacitors, resistors, inductors, discrete semiconductors and converters.

Says Percy Lau, Marketing Director Asia at Rutronik, “We saw this tour as a great opportunity to get to know our customers even better, and, most importantly, to showcase some of the leading technologies and systems in place at facilities in Dongguan, Huizhou, and Xiamen here in China. We hosted 40 key customers on this tour.”

With three offices in China, currently – in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu – as well as subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand, Rutronik is well positioned to advise its global customers about challenges and opportunities in Greater China and Asia as a whole, as well as highlighting the high level of local technological know-how, products and solutions on tap.

A case in point, the huge popularity of ultra-mobile devices in Asia, coupled with their growing complexity, requires innovative designs that are more power-efficient rather than simply more powerful. Momentum in the consumer market will then drive high levels of demand for DC/DC converters across the Asia-Pacific region, while China’s push for electric vehicles will drive demand even higher.

Already, as Rutronik’s business continues to grow and its workforce continues to expand, the existing office space has become too cramped for the company’s needs. Taking into account Rutronik’s recruitment plan for 2020 and the pace of business growth, the decision was made to expand the Shenzhen office. The new office area comprises three additional meeting rooms and four separate offices, accommodating an additional 44 staff. This new office space is well-lit, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, and the layout is more convenient. At this time, the first phase of renovation is complete.
