Air Berlin: More flights to Copenhagen and Helsinki
Berlin, Germany (June 13, 2008) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — Air Berlin, the second largest German airline, will be doubling its direct flights to Copenhagen and Helsinki when its new winter schedule comes into operation. From November 2008 onwards there will be a morning and evening flight to the two Scandinavian cities from Berlin on weekdays. At weekends there will be one flight a day. While the capacity from Berlin-Tegel to Copenhagen is being increased, the number of flights available from Düsseldorf to Helsinki will be doubled.
"The Scandinavian market is becoming increasingly important to Air Berlin. We are pleased that we can expand our capacities to cater for the strong demand," commented Joachim Hunold, Air Berlin's CEO. "On account of the convenient times of the flights, the two routes to Helsinki and Copenhagen are particularly attractive for anyone travelling on business between Germany and Scandinavia."
