Singapore Airlines Signs Agreement For Maintenance Package With Rolls-Royce
Singapore, Singapore (December 10, 2007) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — Singapore Airlines today signed a Total Care Agreement with Rolls-Royce to provide a comprehensive maintenance package for the Trent 900 engines on its fleet of 10 Trent-powered Airbus A380 aircraft.
Rolls-Royce will provide off-wing maintenance, repair and overhaul of engines, as well as spare engine support. The engines will be repaired and overhauled at Singapore Aero Engine Services Limited (SAESL) – a Joint Venture Company, owned by SIA Engineering Company Limited and Rolls-Royce.
Besides Singapore Airlines' first 10 Airbus A380s, other models of the Trent family of engines includes 58 Boeing B777s (Trent 800), 5 Airbus A340-500s (Trent 500) and will power all 19 A330-300s (Trent 700), which will delivered from 2009.
