Beijing, China (June 26, 2007) /China Newswire/ — Recently, the Marriott Family of hotels in Beijing and Tianjin, namely Beijing Marriott Hotel West, Renaissance Beijing Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Beijing, Marriott Executive Apartments Beijing, Tianjin TEDA Renaissance Hotel & Convention Centre, Renaissance Tianjin Hotel, Jing Guang New World Hotel & Jing Guang Centre and the soon-to-open JW Marriott Hotel Beijing joined together with Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China and The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality hosted a charity golf day in support of Safe Kids China charity foundation at Beijing Earls Golf Club. There are more than 50 players participated in the tournament and raised a total of RMB70,000 to the Safe Kids China – a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations dedicated to preventing accidental childhood injury.

This is the 3rd year running that Marriott hotels have co-organized this event. Sponsors donating prizes to the event included Beijing Yan Bao Auto who graciously donated a mini cooper for Hole-in-one prize; Asian Tigers K. C. Dat (China) Ltd; CR Logic Office Furniture (Zhuhai) Ltd. Beijing Branch; Beijing Yan Bao Auto; Destination Travel International and ECOLAB for donating RMB7,000 cash respectively and other prizes sponsors including Pro-Health, ASC Fine Wines, Coffex Coffee, Li Ning Sports, Pepsi, Cheng Bao, Evian and Aussino World Wines.

As part of the “Spirit to Serve the Community” campaigns, the Marriott family in Beijing and Tianjin has made this event a continuous effort to support the charity.
