This course provides a detailed technical overview of LTE, 4G and related technologies. This course will begin with a detailed technical overview of current 3G & 3.5G developments, driven by HSDPA and HSUPA. LTE evolution, architecture and performance goals are then considered, followed by a detailed examination of the LTE radio interface. 4G standards developments, performance goals and trials are the outlined, followed by an over of 4G wireless technologies, spectrum use and mobility. WiMAX is then considered, followed by an examination of the IMS architecture underpinning emerging 3G, 3.5G and 4G services.
